Cooperation with other Conventions and Treaties
According to the COP 7 Decision VII/26, the Conference of the Parties agreed to establish Biodiversity Liaison Group to further enhance cooperation among biodiversity related conventions. In 2004, the Biodiversity Liaison Group was established and comprised of 5 conventions: Ramsar Convention on Wetlans, Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), World Heritage Convention (WHC), Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), and Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). In 2006, International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture joined the liaison group.
